COFFEE WITH THE PRINCIPAL - Principal Steve King hosts a meeting for community members on the second Tuesday of each month at Xtreme Bean Espresso at Nugent's Corner at 6:30 am. GREAT SCHOOLS AWARD - Mount Baker High School has been recognized by Phi Delta Kappa of Washington State and the Center for Educational Effectiveness with the Great Schools Award. This award is given to the schools that are amongst the top five percent of all schools in Washington State in improving reading and math scores over a five-year time span. This is something that our students, staff, and community should be congratulated for as it takes hard work and cooperation of all parties for us to improve our student achievement scores as much as we have. We also know that subjects such as reading and math are very important predictors of the success our students will have as adults and that the number of opportunities for them will only increase by having excellent reading and math skills.

COMPASS ALTERNATIVE HIGH SCHOOL - The Mount Baker COMPASS program is a new program designed for ninth and tenth grade students, select eighth grade students and credit deficient upper classmen who will benefit from an alternative learning environment. The COMPASS Program prepares students for a successful transition into Mount Baker’s comprehensive high school program for on-time graduation. MR. WOOLMAN'S ART CLASSES: Mr. Woolman has created an informative and visually stimulating web site featuring student art work as well as great information for students and parents alike.
HIGH SCHOOL AND BEYOND - This guide is designed to serve as a "one-stop" reference of resources to assist parents in providing guidance as students move through four years of high school and prepare for their "13th year" transition. The Whatcom County Tech Prep Consortium prepared this document. It was mailed to all families, but if you did not receive a guide, you can download it here.
FAMILY ACCESS - VIEW GRADES ONLINE! Parents and students can see grades, assignments, attendance records, and check messages from teachers. SCHOOL PERFORMANCE REPORT FOR MOUNT BAKER HIGH SCHOOL - OSPI provides a "report card" for every school in the state. WASL scores and demographic data about our district are provided.
